Shadow’s Conquest (Black As Bane)

by Robin Pommier

Darkness seeping through my veins
Silence driving me insane
My heart is filling up with dread
Oh how I wish that I was dead
Stench of evil rots the air
Cold hands are roaming through my hair

You liquid voice as black as bane
Pours over me like acid rain

You’ve had me tortured day and night
And still you have not won the fight
You say tonight you’ll have your way
I will break under your sordid sway
No time for me to run and hide
My body lies immobilized

I feel your breath as black as bane
Pour over me like acid rain

I close my eyes to breathe again
Then taste a kiss as sick as sin
Cold hands are roaming everywhere
Stench of evil rots the air

I feel your lust as black as bane
Pour into me like acid rain

My burning candle slowly dies
At last the Shadow claims his prize
Darkness seeps into my veins
Silence driving me insane
My ravaged heart is filled with lead
Oh how I wish that I was dead
