Only Your White Orb Guides Us

by Bob Marcacci

When we come to you
following the cold light

In winter
we can be warm looking
for you empty fields

Reveal the peace of another world
turned into a cemetery
where the dead lie and we wander

Among ruins
we look for you alone
the white flower may appear

Can you see us carrying books
we will read below the tree
at the center

Only your light shine on these leaves
us the frosted petals
in a shadow
