Feelin’ lonely tonight? Lookin’ for a little lovin’?
Call 911-Incubus or 911-Succubus Now!
(a small fee may apply)by Terrie Leigh Relf
I just made up those phone numbers. There’s no chat line for women and/or men who want to “hook-up” with an incubus or a succubus—that I know of. No doubt there are “other” call lines where eager operators will route your call to someone who just might engage you in that fantasy. . .
For a hefty fee, of course.
I’m not a statistician, but have often wondered, given the volume of people handling “those” types of calls, that there just might be one very accommodating operator or two who is possessed by a demon—or who may even be a demon in human form.
If you think you’re possessed and/or are otherwise “being bothered” by a sex demon, then you might consider calling a priest in a parish near you for an exorcism. Not Catholic? I don’t think they’d mind. . .After all, they are in the business of ridding people of demons. . .
Unlike a few sites out there in the darkest night of cyberland, I’m not advocating that you actually invite a sex demon to cross your bedroom’s threshold. It appears, however, that they don’t necessarily care if you invite them to your party or not. Unlike vampires, they don’t need an invitation, or so I’m told. My grandmother, who facilitated my process in the ways of the supernatural (which she always said was a natural part of life), regularly reminded me to surround myself with light.
Sage advice even when we’re not talking demons. . .
So, not quite sure what an Incubi (plural of Incubus) or Succubi (plural of Succubus) is? As previously mentioned, they are considered to be sexual demons—or sex demons for short. While definitions do vary, a recurring theme is that they’re “evil supernatural spirits”. The Latin word, “dæmon”, is from the Greek, “daimon”, which translates as a “’lesser god, guiding spirit, tutelary deity,’(sometimes including souls of the dead) “ (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/demon). Now I’m confused. . .What is evil about that?
Apparently, “The word incubus derives from the Latin word "incubare" - to lie upon, or weight down, and is related to the word 'incubo' for nightmare. The word 'succubus' is Latin for harlot” (http://www.arkanefx.com/unpred/sexpred/incsucc.html). So, it follows, perhaps, that if you’re beset with nightmares of a sexual nature that you may be entertaining an incubus or a succubus. Another telltale sign is sleep paralysis. Have you wakened due to a pressure on your chest only to realize that your body and vocal chords are paralyzed? It can be a terrifying experience. . .The literature seems to indicate that this, too, is “proof” that you’re being visited by an incubus or a succubus.
While so much of the material out there on sex demons is in the category of “add religion and stir”, there are other socio-cultural and philosophical paradigms which address them. Spiritualism, for example. If you’ve ever been to a real séance, the medium will often perform a ritual to ensure that no one takes a spirit home with them. . .An occasional medium, however, has been known to invoke spirits for the sole purpose of engaging in astral sex. (Note: Astral sex is not the sole province of the dead or undead, however.)
No doubt you’re familiar with the age-old bipolar oppositions of good versus evil. The best-known, and perhaps most recent in the so-called “western world”, are the Spanish Inquisition, the "Handle against Witches”, the Malleus Maleficarum, and the Salem Witch Trials. Real life horrors all of them. . .
It is said that there are more incubi (male) than succubi (female). Nine-to-one in a few sources! The Catholic Church seemed to believe that this was due to “women’s natural wanton ways”, but it sounds to me like women are blessed with more to choose from, while the guys need to settle for what’s available. . .
There is some agreement that succubi and incubi are fond of making sexual advances toward men and women when they are asleep, dreaming, or in that twilight realm between sleep and wakefulness. However, many accounts exist of these supernatural (or natural, depending upon your belief system) trysts occurring when the human objects of their affection are very much awake. Incubi and Succubi can take the form of humans, hence enhancing their erotic allure. (http://www.sociopathic.net/Misc/succubusinfo.htm)
Are they dangerous? Well, it depends upon your viewpoint once again. Some people still believe that they’ll go to hell if they dally about with demons. Others may just find them an annoyance. . .If you’re interested in entering an obsessive-compulsive relationship or otherwise having your vital energy drained, then it just might be a matter of how much you can handle. (http://www.sociopathic.net/Misc/succubusinfo.htm)
So how do they come into being?
If you’re into reading dark supernatural fiction and horror, you’re no doubt familiar with Lilith, Adam’s first wife, who is also considered to be the Mother of all Vampires. Demons, supposedly, are her offspring. . .Wizards and magicians are also purported to have the ability to call them forth as are others skilled in the dark—or not so dark—arts. The Catholic Church, of course, believed that sexual desire—period—would invite them in. It follows, too, that anyone who didn’t “claim Jesus as their Savior” would be fair game for demons and other hell beings.
Lest you think the Judao-Christian tradition is able to claim these as their sole—and soul—providence, demons have existed throughout time and have origins in other cultural milieu. In Buddhist lore, there are the Maras, who are said to have tempted the Buddha while he meditated beneath the Bodhi Tree.
In “Strange Sexual Beings”, an excerpt from Eros and Evil by R.E.L. Masters, there is an A-Y listing which is an intriguing read. There are “Bhootums”, which are “Sexual spirits or incubi who copulate with Hindu women”. . .”Cocoto”, which are “West Indian deities or demons who have carnal intercourse with human females”. . .”Corybantes”, which are “Asiatic spirits noted for their orgiastic rites and wild dances. . .”Caballi”, which are “Lustful spirits, still possessed of their earthly passions, who instinctively seek out living persons of similar inclination for the purpose of gratifying their desires”. . . “Egrigors”, who are “created by group effort. . by intense concentration, but they may also come into being as the result of very intense daydreams or phantasies”. . .”Empusae”, which are depicted in “ancient Greek lore [as] malevolent and sensual female demons. . .[who] could assume the forms of animals or of beautiful girls, and in the forms of young girls they copulated as succubi with men. . .said to be the daughters of Hecate, Patroness of Witchcraft”. . .”Molongs”, which are “Malayan incubi-vampires”. . .and “Rusalki”, which are “Beautiful but cruel Slavic spirits with eyes that burn as with a green fire. Men die in their embraces, but it is said to be worth the price. . .
